KOROGOCHO |
It
is estimated that about 200.00 people live there. The structure are packed ad often divided by narrow paths which are, at the same time, sewer and drain. The roads are impassable during the rains or extremely dusty in the other periods and human waste and refuse pervade the roads and the drains. The lack of adequate water remain a major problem in Korogocho, together with lack of social facilities, infrastructures, work opportunities, educational programs, electricity and proper sanitation. Many people find it increasingly difficult to overcome the constraints of this environment but they are forced to stay in the area because they seem to have no alternative.
