Kochkanga Group


We are girls of a small community of batikanga. We started this project last January 1997, before we worked with the big UDADA group, wich was started by father Alex and father John in 1992.

The main reason of dividing this small branch is because of market: it is difficult to sell big quantity of necklaces. At the end of last year by goodluck we found people of American Embassy who suggested us to start this income project, together with Paa Ya Paa art center and our teacher Philda Njau.



Our work consists of making by hands Batikanga and tye and dye clothes and eventually sewing all kinds of clothes, dresses, skirts, blouses and our dreams are to get good market in order to feed our children and to live in a better life.
